A few words about Thomas Berg (that's me)
I live in the northern part of Sweden with my family. Currently I'm studying for a degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, trying to live by my wife's favorite saying: Carpe diem, vita brevis! (Cease the day, life is short)
I'm a self-taught programmer who is experienced in a wide range of programming and scripting languages, including (but not limited to) Ada, Assembler, C/C++, Java, Javascript/jQuery, Lisp, Pascal, Perl and PHP.
I find any type of programming task interesting but lately, I've been immersed in web programming, improving my skills in the batch; XHTML/CSS/PHP/jQuery. I guess my general interest in the Internet and the fact that web programming allows me to get direct visual results of my work makes it so rewarding!
I got serious about web programming after having tried wordpress and joomla. Even though both wordpress and joomla are great software, they still are unecessarily complicated and too general for my needs. So I created my own cms which I subsequently came to call spidertools.
I'm aware that the name isn't exactly original but it suits the software pretty good. If you've got a better, more unique and appropriate name, please feel free to contact me.
My ultimate goal is to find a position as a programmer where I'm continually challenged to improve at my craft. Until that point, I will finish my studies and as always, continue to work on my various projects.
